“Highly recommend, we had a family in from out of town, did a private trip to Cayo Costa. Captain Eric was very knowledgeable about the area. He contacted me in the morning with the weather conditions and suggested we leave a little later, which was a good call. We saw dolphins, a manatee, and a tarpon, Had a great time!”
“A perfect day on the water! I would highly recommend Captain Eric. We hired Charlotte Harbor Boat Excursions to learn more about the canals, harbor and boat safety. He was enthusiastic about showing us hot spots for dining, fishing and local wildlife.
During our 3 hour tour, he was instrumental in explaining the operations of boating and the importance of navigating safely. He was personable, professional and patient answering our questions as we are new to the area.
If you’re looking for an experienced boat captain, look no further! We will be contacting him again for a tour out into the gulf!”
“I took my sister and her best friend out on Eric’s boat as a birthday gift. It was absolutely perfect. Eric made sure we were comfortable and we had a great tour of the harbor and local canals. It was just a beautiful day and my sister was thrilled to have this private cruise on the water.”
“Had a relaxing cruise with Captain Eric tonight. Very family friendly. Very knowledgeable. Works hard to make sure you have an enjoyable time. Thank you.”
“Our family had the most amazing time with captain eric! He was so kind and patient our kiddos (5 & 7). We got to swim and explore a sand bar and visit Cabbage Key for lunch and sight seeing. Highly recommend!!”
“I highly recommend Charlotte Harbor Boat Excursions. A wonderful experience, Eric is a very knowledgeable, friendly, accommodating Captain. You won’t be disappointed 😊”
“We have been on a few excursions with Captain Eric and could not have asked for a better captain. He is very knowledgeable of the area and we were very comfortable during the excursions. Lots of room on the boat.
Our first excursion Captain Eric took us on a tour of the Canals and to Charlotte Harbor.
Our second excursion we went to Boca Grande/Gasparilla and Cayo Costa islands. Captain Eric took us to a sandbar where there is action for those who want to live it up a little or to a secluded island for a more relaxing experience.
Captain Eric is very focused and observant when driving the boat. Each trip he spotted dolphins and stopped the boat so we could watch them.
I highly recommend booking your excursion today.”
“I rarely write reviews. I have to tell you our experience. I called him at 3:30 after another company said it was too late. he said if we met him 30 minutes from our location (1/2 way) he could make it happen. To go on a sunset cruise. We could not make the timeframe (we had a one year old granddaughter with us) he met us 10 minutes from our location we grabbed a pizza a byob and had an excellent time with great conversation and beautiful sunset pics! Captain Eric was the best absolutely recommend!”
“We could not have asked for a better experience! A day before our scheduled cruise, Captain Eric contacted me and suggested we change the day because of the weather forecast. We did change the date and the weather was absolutely beautiful. Captain Eric is very knowledgeable about the area and made a special stop so our husband’s could visit the Vietnam Memorial. We saw dolphins and many beautiful homes before heading out to watch the most beautiful sunset. I would highly recommend this sunset cruise to everyone!! Thank you again for your kindness. I would give you ten stars if I could!!!❤️❤️”
“This was my first trip to Punta Gorda and I was told the best way to see a sunset was by boat. I reached out to Charlotte Harbor Boat Excursions and they provided an exceptional experience from start to finish. Eric’s hospitality was unmatched, and his passion for the area’s natural beauty was evident throughout the journey. The excursion offered breathtaking views of Charlotte Harbor, complete with sightings of playful dolphins and mangrove sanctuaries. The highlight was undoubtedly the stunning sunset, and visit to the beaches on Cayo Costa Island. If you’re looking for an unforgettable adventure, look no further than Captain Eric and Charlotte Harbor Boat Excursions.”
“We wanted a side excursion on the water when staying at the Sunseeker back in June ’24. We ran across Captain Eric when looking for a private boating adventure, and so glad we did. We took a day trip out to Cayo Costa State Park, checking out the gulf side, and the bay side. While swimming on the gulf side, a manatee swim right in front of and below us! Captain Eric was even able to capture it on camera from the boat! He was a great guide, very hospitable, and would definitely recommend him while in Punta Gorda, Charlotte Harbor area. Would (will) certainly seek him out again if we go back to that area!”
“Capt Eric was excellent! On time, very professional & friendly! We had a great 1/2 day tour of the area with our group! Don’t hesitate.. Eric is the guide you want!”
“Thanks for a great Christmas canal cruise and one of the best sunsets I have experienced!! Nice boat & great captain!”
“Our day with Captain Eric was amazing. Saw such incredible wildlife on a very clean and modern boat. Introduced us to Jug Creek and had a very nice lunch. Had a cooler with waters and storage for personal things. Lots of knowledge about the area, really friendly, made our day! Overall amazing experience.”
“Had the perfect ending to a wonderful birthday celebration with Eric with Charlotte Harbor Boat Excursions! The weather and sunset certainly cooperated and Eric took us around PGI. On the way back we even saw a dolphin! Highly recommend. Thank you Eric! ”
“Today we took a fabulous five hour tour with Capt Eric w/Charlotte Harbor Boat Excursions. We initially booked for four hours for 6 people to go to Cayo Costa with Pickup at Riviera Bar & Grill. We brought our own drinks and food and planned to sit on the beach and go shelling in two locations. Then we added on an extra hour and stopped at Cabbage Cay, which was such a treat. Captain Eric is personable, knowledgeable and a great host. We had taken a 90 minute Charlotte Harbor tour in a much larger boat from Fisherman’s Wharf earlier in the month and we all agreed that the private boat tour (where you determine your destination and length) was well worth the extra money. Highly recommend booking with Charlotte Harbor Boat Excursions!!”
“Captain Eric was outstanding! This was one of the best boating experiences I’ve had. There are many choices for how to structure your trip and he is incredibly knowledgeable and accommodating. He offers a great music selection as well. I can’t speak highly enough about the service.”
“Thank you Captain Eric for providing a “burial at sea” service for our family. Not knowing the protocol for “burials at sea”, we were fortunate to find the service offered on your website. Captain Eric was professional, courteous and knowledgeable of regulatory rules. He provided suggestions as well as the time and space for our family to reflect during the service. Afterwards we enjoyed a relaxing and informative boat tour through Charlotte Harbor. As we left the marina, Captain Eric spotted two dolphins swimming beside the boat: the wish of our loved one.“
“We recently booked a charter with Eric, and it was hands-down the highlight of our trip! From the moment we stepped on board, Eric made us feel welcomed, safe, and comfortable. He is incredibly knowledgeable about the area and went above and beyond to show us the best spots, including manatee watching. The boat was spotless and well-equipped. If you want a fun, professional, and personalized experience on the water, look no further. We will absolutely be booking with Captain Eric again!“
